Dear Elks Members:
The Liquor Control Board rules state that ALL non-members of a private club must be signed into a guest book by a member. Grand Lodge also mandates the same rules. Anyone who has visited another Lodge knows that they must sign the guest book; which by the way, belongs to the Grand Lodge.
If the LCB were to come in and find a non-member in the bar that has not been signed in we will be fined. Therefore, effective immediately, ALL non-members must sign the guest book. Anyone refusing to comply or writing profanity in the book will be refused service.
I hope that all of you understand that we are not singling anyone out; rather, we are trying to make sure that there are no problems for the Lodge.
I thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Proposal For Membership Forms
When filling out a Proposal for Membership Application Form, please remember to fill out all required proposed areas at top of page, #12 (proposed DOES NOT put his/her name in here). One the back (PROPOSER) please fill in months/years you have known the Candidate, sign and fill in the other appropriate information. The Investigating Committee has been receiving numerous applications w/o this information. It would help speed up the process for our new Candidate and eliminate an extra phone call to you. Thanks much.
Find the Queen of Hearts
There's a new game at Bristol Elks called "Find the QUEEN of HEARTS"
How to play: 1) Sequentially numbered raffle tickets are offered to Elks members for $1.00 a ticket. Each ticket buyer shall write his or her name, telephone number and game board number choice on the ticket, and then the ticket will be placed in the raffle ticket box. All monies collected from the sale of the raffle tickets will be designated as the GRAND PRIZE POOL. 2) After thoroughly shuffling the playing cards, one playing card will be placed behind each of the 54 numbers on the game board. 3) One raffle ticket shall be drawn each week at 8pm on Saturdays, from among all the tickets sold. Tickets may be purchased starting the day after the drawing date, up until 7:30pm the day of the drawing. 4) The winning raffle ticket drawn, shall be entitled to "Find the QUEEN of HEARTS". All remaining tickets in the raffle box shall be discarded. 5) The member whose raffle ticket was drawn, shall select one of the numbers from the game board, to reveal the playing card behind the number. If that playing card is the QUEEN of HEARTS, the holder of that week's raffle ticket selecting that card shall be rewarded 60% of the GRAND PRIZE POOL. As a bonus, if the playing card is a JOKER, the holder of that week's raffle ticket shall be awarded $100. Members need not be present at the time of the drawing to claim the prize. 6) If the card selected is not the QUEEN of HEARTS, or a JOKER, all the money collected from the week's ticket sales, immediately goes into the GRAND PRIZE POOL. 7) The weekly raffle drawings shall continue until a winner selects the QUEEN of HEARTS. 8) The winning prize must be claimed within 30 days of the drawing. Unclaimed prizes after 30 days shall be retained by the ELKS CLUB for public interest.
GOOD LUCK!
