The "Great Heart of Elkdom" established a permanent trust fund in 1928 to further the benevolent, charitable and educational program of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America.
Grand Exalted Ruler F. Louis Sulsberger has established a goal of $4.25 per member for fraternal year 2007-2008. This goal will ensure the continued growth of the foundation.
The Elks National Foundation believes the philanthropic trust is permanent and that today's charitable contributions will address the needs of tomorrow, the next day...and years to come.
The mission of the foundation is threefold:
To provide the monetary resources of furthering the Elks' commitment with our communities and youth-related programs;
To provide assistance to the state Elks associations in accomplishing their charitable objectives and
To honor our pledge that "So long as there are veterans, the Elks will never forget them."
